A Simple Explanation of Reverse Osmosis Systems
29 November 2008
It is only natural to be curious as to how seemingly complicated scientific or technological processes work. For example, ultra-filtration, or reverse osmosis water systems, turn water that was previously unsafe (or just unappealing) to drink into safe, drinkable water that humans can consume. Reverse osmosis water systems do this by using microscopic openings to filter out larger compounds, all while allowing water molecules to pass through. The better reverse osmosis water systems also have electrical properties that help to reject chemicals, as well. In the end, the entire process allows you to have a tasty, refreshing glass of water that is safe to drink.
