No Whole Life Insurance for Widow
29 January 2009
It really hit me hard when my cousin died suddenly in a car accident last spring. He was my age, and left behind a wife and three kids. He did not have any whole life insurance, or even term, for that matter, and his poor widow was left to fend for herself without any mourning period at all. They had almost no savings, and no cushion to help through the tough time. She was a stay at home mom, so having very little job experience means that she has to work two jobs and never sees her kids because they are always at a relatives house or in daycare.
