Two Tone Quilling Paper

The type and colour of paper that can be used by the quiller is almost limitless but one of the most popular style of paper is the two tone.  This paper is coloured on both sides with one side featuring the particular colour in a dense , solid block.  The reverse side however, though still of the same base colour, is considerably lighter, or less dense, in tone.  Because of the two tone effect of this kind of quilling paper any shapes made from it will take on a subtlety of shadow and will allow some quite pleasing and even dramatic spirals to be created from just a single colour rather than the artist having to mix different coloured papers together.
