Human Connection

Numerous studies have shown that throughout the course of the day, a human being craves the touch of another human being. Making the connection with another person whether it’s verbal or nonverbal is essential to our own existence and personal development.  Think about how often you shake hands with someone, pat someone on the back, give someone a hug or even brush up against someone by accident when you’re at the store.  All of this instances give us opportunities to communicate. 

When it comes down to communicating in the world of social media, there are many tricks of the trade used to "touch" someone.  It’s still about making the connection.  Advertising agencies and those who work in marketing have to figure out what appeals to the consumer.  Writers on the Internet who are trying to market a product or service have an equally difficult time.  They have to try to capture the readers attention in the split second it takes them to click off the page if they’re not interested.  This is why words and how we use them are so important.
