The Network Marketing Business Model

Is network marketing a business model that makes sense?   Some people call it a pyramid scheme while others say it’s the best business opportunity for the average person. 

The truth likely lies somewhere in the middle.    After all, most of the people who call it a pyramid scheme are those who have been involved with a network marketing company but ended up losing money and quitting.  These people aren’t exactly a good source of unbiased information, so their “pyramid scheme” reference may not be all that accurate. 

However, is it the best opportunity for the average person?  Well, the people who make this claim tend to be on the opposite spectrum.  They are the mega successful network marketers, and the people who repeat this claim are those who are trying to recruit new distributors to their particular opportunity. 

So only by learning about both sides, even if you disagree with one of them, can we really determine if network marketing makes sense.
