The way Thomas gets around
My brother-in-law Thomas has been an archaeologist since he became a professor at the University of Washington. He spends a good portion of the year in Eastern Washington on a number of digs. This is remarkable considering that my brother-in-law gets around in a wheelchair vehicle. Over the years he has learned to maneuver in such a way that he can do pretty much anything a walking person can do. He has been an inspiration to many disabled people throughout the state of Washington and has given many speeches at many seminars. Next week the university is sponsoring a trip with 12 students, all disabled, to one of his digs.
