What is a good rate to pay for car insurance?

I am trying to find some ways to save money. I am looking around to see if I can get better deals on insurance, as well as trying to spend less buying new stuff. What is a good rate to pay for car insurance? I am trying to find cheap car insurance, since mine is a little more than I would like, but I am not sure where I should go or how low I should expect to be able to get my insurance rates to go. Can anyone help me out? Does anyone know of a good company for cheap car insurance?
