With kids, work, family and other commitments it might seem impossible that an adult can find time to learn piano. Private lessons take an hour a week and you have to be available that same night every week. That didn’t seem possible to me with all the commitments so I started looking for a self study course I could use.

What I found after a few hours research was that there were some really great piano lessons dvd programs out there you could order off the Internet for a fraction of the cost of private lessons.

I ordered a course and decided to dedicate 3 hours a week when I could to learning. That was a few months ago now and I’m about a quarter of the way through the course. I love it, it’s the first real hobby I’ve had and it’s been great for me.

Whenever you are teaching music you owe it to yourself to have a good Music Lesson Plans for music lessons.      I just found a new file sharing service that I have to tell about.  It is called Ares, and it is so great.  I have had a lot less problems with viruses when I use it.  It also allows me to download songs at lightening fast speeds.  I have found every song I have ever wanted to download on there.  I have told my best friend, and she has told many people, because we love it so much.  If you are looking for a new place to find songs I would highly recommend it. It is a wonderful way to get songs

I had taken a few guitar lessons but my confidence wasn’t that high with it. I was shy to play in front of other people and I didn’t really like playing in front of my wife either. It wasn’t until after I started taking some blues guitar lessons that I really started getting seriously interested in wanting to play with other people. It’s just the style of music the blues is, it motivates me to want to jam with others whether they’re better then me or not. It really pushed my comfort boundaries in terms of playing guitar and helped me build a ton of confidence. I’ve actually become better since I started playing with others because it pushed me to learn new things, keep up with them and be a better all around guitar player.

I wanted to take guitar lessons, so I went to town to talk with a guy who offers them.  Everything sounded great to me except for the price he was asking.  I didn’t have that kind of money, so I decided to start taking online guitar lessons.  I didn’t think that it was going to turn out that well, though, because I felt like I wasn’t going to be instructed very well.  However, I was very wrong.  I have been learning a lot in just my first few lessons, and I know that these online lessons will help me become a great guitar player.

Our friends have a son named Jeremy that has his on band. He started out in music at an early age due to his father playing the steel guitar for a popular country music group. I was on my way to work and scanning through the radio station during grid lock traffic. I ran across a song that caught my attention and started making me laugh. After listening for a few minutes and not paying attention to how backed up the traffic was, time flew by. The person in the car next to me was wondering what I was laughing at and I told her to change the radio to the station I was listening to because they are playing funny songs. Next thing you know, she was sitting in her car laughing also. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine.

I was, and still is, a fan of the Irish band The Corrs, especially during my grade school years. What strikes me most about this band is that they do not just play no cuts, no take two lives but they also play some wicked instruments. My favorite is Caroline Corr when she plays her handheld drum. Curious, I researched on it and found out that it is called a bodhran. It is actually made of goatskin and the double-ended drumstick that is used to strike the drum is called a tipper. Now that is wicked!

 I have an intuition that, the digital world will rule the musical industry here after. You have to decide which will be your future and if it is the musical field, then I have something to say for you. Most of the people think that, the musical world is only for those who have talents inbuilt in them. beat maker has to be the answer for this. As a music teacher I am always looking for guitar technique tips to pass on to my students. Although I have been playing for 35 years now I still learn new stuff all the time. Also I worry a lot about skipping over basic steps as they are so ingrained in my playing I don’t even think about them. So far I haven’t had any complaints from my students, but I still worry about it. After talking to other music teachers I realize that I am not alone in this concern. It appears we all worry about becoming complacent and skipping steps.
