A Diabetes Diet Is A Healthy Diet

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, it is most likely that your physician has prescribed or given you information on a diabetes diet to control symptoms that may result from diabetes. Amazingly enough, most of the time, a diabetes diet is simply a healthy diet that includes carbs, proteins and healthy fats. Lean meats, fish, whole grains and vegetables are all foods that can help you maintain a healthy diet. It is important that you avoid foods with a high sugar content. Alcohol should only be used in moderation, no more than two alcoholic drinks per day. Consult with your doctor for more information.
