Playing New Sports in College.

Having been an avid athlete throughout my time at school, I was keen to try new sports when I began college. The one that really caught my eye was rugby, and I was soon hooked! The only thing that made me think twice about my choice was the leg power required and therefore the leg lifts that I had to do. These are bodyweight exercises where you lay flat on the ground and raise your legs about six or eight inches, holding the position for a particular period of time, depending on how much your coach enjoys watching you squirm! The big benefit of such exercises is that you need no equipment – you work with your own bodyweight, hence the term ‘bodyweight exercise‘.
