An Antique Discovery

We recently moved into an old colonial hope. Our first task was to rip out the carpets to in new carpets. Upon ripping the carpeting out, we discovered beautiful wood antique flooring. After thinking it through, we decided to forgo putting carpet in and try to refinish the wood floors and just use a rug to cover them. Refinishing the floor was a lot of work, but really did not cost too much. Once we laid the final cost of sealer, I could already tell it was worth all of the work. Our floors look beautiful. Whenever someone new enters our home, that is the first thing they see and comment about. I am not sure why anyone would want to cover floors like this up, but I am glad we made the discovery of finding them.
