Do hen nights require a gift?

I do not really think that all parties have set in stone rules to follow. Like when it comes to hen nights do you have to bring a gift? I have been to some where a gag gift was requested and I have been to some where the organizer asked people to bring something small for the couple’s new home. Other times nothing is requested at all. I think no gift is more the norm, but it is nice to add a little something special. If you see a little something that you’d like to pick up for your friend then feel free to do so.
