How To Knit Books Let You Start Knitting Right Away

One of the nice things about making a decision to teach yourself how to knit is that it offers you complete flexibility on when and where you decide to take your lessons.  You don’t have to depend on someone coming to your house, or wait for the weekly knitting group meeting for you to learn something new in your knitting craft.  You just need to find time at home, evenings are great, and sit down with your how to knit books and give yourself a lesson.

The most difficult things about teaching yourself knitting is finding the time to take those lessons. Depending on your situation, squeezing in an hour or so to learn knitting may be easier said than done.  College students, who are starting knitting in record numbers, maybe have the easiest time of it.  There’s always time between classes or on weekends when the choice may be between socializing or giving yourself a knitting lesson.  Young mothers have perhaps the most difficult time finding time to learn knitting.  The demands of motherhood, when you have one or two little ones running around, are often too much.  Perhaps that’s why you see the stereotype of the knitter to be the older grandmother, who has lots of free time and can knit pretty much whatever they want.
