A friend of mine decided to be a foreign exchange student. Her parents welcomed a student from another country into their home, while my friend went to Japan to stay for a year and attend high school. I really miss her. We email, write letters, and talk on the phone, but it just isn’t the same as seeing each other in person and being able to talk like we used to. It didn’t take long for her to learn Japanese words. During our last phone conversation, she greeted me in Japanese.
