Make sure that you have adequate insurance coverage

Are you someone who has an extensive jewelry collection?  It doesn’t matter what type — whether they are rings,  watches, ladies bracelets, necklaces — if it is a valuable collection, you must make sure to get your homeowners or renters insurance coverage increased.  Without adequate insurance coverage, if your jewelry is stolen or damaged, the insurance company may not pay you enough in order to compensate you properly for the loss of these items — and in some cases, they may not compensate you at all.  So if you have a valuable collection, document all of your holdings and then contact your insurance agent to get a policy update.
