The Right Room Placement

My husband and I have had a completely empty family room for almost one year. After buying our house, we just couldn’t decide, or agree, on what to do with the room. We couldn’t decide on a paint color and we couldn’t decide on the pieces of furniture for the room. Nor could we decide on the placement of our nonexistent furniture. How hard could it be? We finally decided to start with the types of pieces. We came to the conclusion that two sofas and two oversized chairs would work well. But, we debated about how they would best be placed in the room. In the end, we made a drawing of the room and the pieces of furniture and would keep moving the pieces around until we found something upon which we could both agree.
