Definition of Saving

I have a legitimate question for all of those people out there who try to save money with voucher codes websites and pore over sale ads. Is it really savings if the money saved is not put away in an account? Time after time, I have heard many people claim, I bought this item on sale, and saved, say, 10 pounds. But, if you don’t squirrel away the 10 pounds saved, you didn’t really “save” anything! If, a person actually calculated the price of an item without the voucher code, and set aside the money to be saved, then that is my definition of saving money with codes.
