Gather around for a story

The tradition of trapping the bottle tree spirits was here long before I was born. In fact I think it came out when my grand parents were little kids. The tradition wasn’t born here in the United States, no it came over with the African slaves and most likely came out a very long time ago before that. The tradition was however fascinating. Putting bottles on tree limbs you’d think wouldn’t be allowed back then, but it was. Many homes had these bottles on the trees and even today many homes still do. Those who believe are hard core believers, some people just like the concept.
