Asia- A great place to teach English

If you’re looking to do some teaching overseas then you might want to consider teaching english in asia. Asia is wonderful! They have great food, sights, and a really different culture. If you’re looking to get out of the westernized world ( ie. The United States or Europe) then Asia is just the place for you. If you’re nervous about being in a location where not too many people speak English then this might not be the location for you. You may want to try some place in Europe for your first teaching position. If you do this then you’ll get some experience and then you’ll feel more comfortable with your teaching abilities when you go to Asia. When applying for any teaching position overseas expect a contract. Many places won’t hire you unless you sign a contract that states how long you are obligated to stay and teach. This is normal so don’t panic; expect a contract to be around a year to a year and a half.
