Working in Kauai Hotels
I moved to this island from Los Angeles, where I had been a maid in several of the chain hotels in the area. Let me tell you, I wish I had made the change years ago. Having a job in Kauai Hotels still involves the same back-breaking work, but you can’t beat the surroundings. Wouldn’t you rather end your shift sitting at an outdoor cafe with the Hawaiian sun beating down on you and the sweet smell of tropical flowers in your nostrils? Contrast that with the grit and grime of your standard American city and I think the answer is clear. If you can afford the move, I highly recommend making it.
